Halekulani's Family & Childrens Program
The Halekulani's complimentary summer keiki program runs from June 19 to Aug. 25. The youngsters learn arts and crafts, go on beach hunts for shells and sea creatures, fish with a bamboo pole, learn about Hawaiian petroglyphs, dance the hula and go inside the hotel kitchen and work with the Halekulani's pastry chef. And each day ends in the hotel's famous orchid pool.

Halekulani means "House Befitting Heaven", a name given by Hawaiian fishermen more than a century ago. Before the eucalyptus wood floors, before the lava rock walls and before the sloping roofs, Halekulani was known for its hospitable shore and gentle breezes. Heritage is the gift we've been entrusted with, the gift we share with our guests, and the gift we will pass on to those who follow.

Expectations are like orchids growing within their plain sheath until exploding forth in vibrant colors. We all set levels to judge ourselves and those around us, but the real pleasure comes from seeing those expectations met, and on rare occasions, exceeded. As a guest of Halekulani, a personal concierge will escort you to your accommodations and acquaint you with the property. What some may laud as details, Halekulani considers essentials. Most essential of all is the anticipation of your expectations.

Luxury should not be contrived. It ought to be understated and natural, yet considerably more than a room with a view. Even when the view is as inspiring as the moon rising over Diamond Head. We believe that subtle expressions of thoughtfulness are the most revealing. At Halekulani, the standard of luxury is anything but standard.
Indulgence is what you earn for exercising self control. We believe the event should be at least as heady as the anticipation. During your first days at Halekulani, you may sit near the ocean, transfixed by the view, only to be taken with exceptional distractions. Food for the eyes, tastes for the soul. Orchids presents originals without becoming trendy. La Mer offers incomparable French cuisine. House Without a Key is where you go for relaxed dining al fresco. Afternoon tea in the British tradition is served in the Veranda. Our greatest pleasure is to indulge yours.
