I too wish we could go back to the Hawaiiana. Why hasn't someone picked up on the wonderful property. I am sure the people would help buy it up. let us not loose this property.

Similar to the e-mail dated Feb.12,2010 when we came in Nov.2009 we were surprised to find out the the Hawaiiana Hotel was in bankruptcy. We lost $1200 for two weeks that we had paid for previously.

We loved your accommodations; friendly staff, quiet, close to beach; barbeque's, what happened? We lost our payment for the 4plus weeks we wanted to stay - Bad!Something is amiss here when the accommodations are mostly booked. YOU HIRED LOCALS, that's a plus, We paid eight months in advance and no one indicated that we couldn't be accommodated! Your local staff needs to be treated better than that!

We first stayed at the Hawaiiana in 1992 and have always made it our hotel of choice when on Oahu. We are sad to see it close. We loved the homey feel and the helpfulness and friendliness of the employee's.

We would like very much to come for the months of Feb. and March. It would be wonderful if I could get a TIME SHARE with this property. It has always been a HOME away from HOME. Mahalo, Mr.& Mrs A.
