I really enjoyed my stay. My husband is very picky with hotels and I'm so used to him complaining that the room is "old and dated" whenever I book a 2 bedroom that includes a washer and dryer (necessary w/ two little boys). This is the first time he didn't complain. Dark wood, stainless appliances, comfy beds, flat screen tvs. The staff was very professional. Check in and checkout was a breeze and the front desk coordinated the valet parking and bell service very nicely. Because it is Waikiki, be ready to pay high parking prices. We found it was really worth it to pay $6 more than the self-parking fee ($24)plus tips and get valet service for our car. We had a total of 6 guests and just getting in and out is a struggle, it was truly refreshing to have your car waiting for you as you left the building. There are a lot of swimming options here: lots of pools (we hardly used them because we chose to swim at the beach), a very calm fresh and salt water lagoon w/ sand and real fish in the water, and steps away from that is a really calm part of Waikiki beach (there is a black safety rock formation that protects from undertow and really strong waves on the right side, which was really great when you have two kids and only two hands!). We went in March, which is somewhat high season but the building was never crowded. The second leg after we returned from Maui, we arrived prior to check in time, and there is a great lounge/welcome center that allows you to get showered, refreshed, use a locker and go to the pool or beach, lounge on the sofas, drink coffee, use the internet. This was a great perk as well.

I am interested in a visit to Hawaii, perhaps your resort which looks very beautiful. This would be a family vacation, total 7 people, one smoker in the group. I would like information on your suites which I think I saw in the preview that you have either 2 or 3 bedrooms. One family could be in one room with 2 double beds ( smoking) and the other would need a suite with one bedroom (2 double beds, party of 4) if there is a sleeper or pull out in the living room,or perhaps a 3 bedroom suite would be suitable for all 7. We would hope to come sometime late July or eary Aug. Thank you, Jean Puckett
