 | At the end of the Hana Highway… ...on the lush eastern coast of Maui, is the legendary AAA Four Diamond Hotel Hana-Maui and Honua Spa, where tranquility is a way of life. This luxury resort has long been known as a favorite Hawaiian vacation retreat for generations of travelers seeking a serene and enchanting escape. Hana is the perfect location for honeymoons, romantic getaways, and small weddings. The Resort reflects a wonderful blend of Hawaiian heritage and the unspoiled natural beauty that makes Hana such a special place. Luxury accommodations include spacious, bungalow-style Bay Cottage Suites with patios and romantic, plantation-style Sea Ranch cottages that offer dramatic ocean and mountain views. Hotel Hana Maui has been lovingly restored. The rooms have been designed to reflect the eclectic mix of Hawaiian history and cultures, and to create an environment that reflects the traditions of the native Hawaiians. Throughout the rooms you will be provided with an experience that immerses you in the local lore by using colors, textures, materials and patterns that are indigenous to Hawaii. They embody the spirit of Hana. In Hana, Maui, the Hawaii that used to be, still exists. It thrives in the lush, unspoiled beauty of the countryside and the gentle hospitality of its people. | Plantation House This special turn of the century house provides privacy and a great location for weddings and small meetings. It is located on four acres of beautiful lush landscaped grounds. Sea Ranch Cottages The Sea Ranch Cottages are representative of plantation houses that you see throughout the islands. At the entry to your cottage, you will find red and green ti plants - as is the custom in Hawaii. The floor mats are woven lauhala - the dried leaves of the pandanus tree. There are a variety of 18th and 19th century Kapa patterns, the Hawaiian term for bark cloth, used in the rooms. The ultimate in privacy and natural surroundings are found at the breathtaking Sea Ranch Cottages. Situated a few minutes walk from the hotel lobby, these spacious cottages are duplex style on an ocean bluff. Each cottage has a spacious living area with high ceilings, oversized bathrooms, skylights, wet bar, cottage, dining table, and large lanai deck with chaise lounge chairs. Over half with private deck spas offering dramatic views of the deep blue ocean, and of waves breaking in white foam against the tree-fringed, black lava shoreline.. Bay Cottages The Bay "Cottages" are low-rise bungalow style buildings and are located closest to the Main building. They are all connected together and are not stand-alone cottages. All feature spacious bathrooms with most having private enclosed garden views from the bathtub. The cottages overlook either the majestic Hana Bay and Garden Pool, or lushly landscaped grounds, flowering trees and tropical gardens. |

 | Our Owner Roz Says ... I am absolutely in love with The Hotel Hana Maui. It is a unique, beautiful bungalow style resort overlooking the ocean and fields of grazing horses. The peaceful and romantic atmosphere of your own private bungalow, some offering an outdoor jacuzzi on your deck. It is, by far, my pick for a perfect honeymoon location. The Hana area itself offers a wide variety of activities to enjoy during the day. Enjoy horseback riding along the coast, a bike ride across the mountains, a hike and swim to waterfalls and mountain pools, and a beach picnic at beautiful Hamoa Beach. It is truly the Hawaii you dream about! |
| Our Agent Brad Says ... The Hotel Hana Maui is in a class by itself. It is very quiet and isolated. Even the drive to the hotel is great! The drive takes about 2 & 1/2 hours through lush rainforests and along majestic sea cliffs. There are no clocks or televisions in the rooms, and quiet and solitude are the order of the day. Hana town pretty much shuts down at about 6-7pm, but the hotel has a restaurant and a bar that are open later. The hotel is recently under new management. They are managed by the same company that runs the famous Post Ranch Inn at Big Sur and Jean-Michel Cousteau's Fiji Islands Resort. They are also a member of the SLH (small luxury hotels) group. The entire property has also undergone a multi-million dollar renovation recently and now is even nicer. The ocean front suite with spa is wonderful. For romance, sitting in your private hot tub on the deck of your cottage, with a bottle of wine, and looking up the stars can't be beat! This may be the most romantic hotel on Maui. I like it so much that I spent MY honeymoon there! | |
 | Our Sales Manager Chris Says ... If you are looking for a large resort in a dry environment, a huge pool and water slides, this is NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. If you are looking to relax in a quiet and serene place, with lush green tropical surroundings, then the Hotel Hana Maui is where you want to be. Hana is one of the last undeveloped and thus unspoiled locations in Hawaii. It is the Hawaii many visitors dream about, where beautiful botanical gardens and waterfalls abound. Guests may wish to simply enjoy the serenity of the quiet and relaxing surroundings, or perhaps you will want to get out and enjoy the natural environment. Maui's only black sand beach, as well as the white sand beach of Hamoa are nearby. The hotel itself has recently completed renovations. The rooms have a very nice "Contemporary Hawaiian" decor, complete with authentic Hawaiian Tapa patterns. The sea ranch cottages are wonderful. It is a real treat to enjoy a cottage with a Jacuzzi after a day of exploring cool mountain streams. Hana is definitely one of my favorite places in all of Hawaii. I have been exploring Hana for years and I am still learning. Whether you just stay for a night to avoid the long drive back to the busy resort areas, or you decide to stay for a few days and unwind, Hana is a wonderful experience. |
