Comments 1 Response to the Keauhou Beach Resort
On Mar 16, 2009 at 12:21P Paul Kalas said The Keauhou Beach Resort has renovated rooms which seem almost identical to the ones we had at the Hilton Waikoloa in the Palace Tower (smaller bathroom was the main difference). But what's really nice is that all of the rooms have views of the ocean, and in fact you're so close to the ocean you can hear the waves. Also, you're right next to the beach park for snorkeling and swimming. Plus, the internet connection and breakfast were included in the price. Nearby is a Long's Drugs and KTA supermarket for quick trips to get food and supplies.
Our Sales Manager Chris Says ... My favorite inexpensive hotel in the town of Kailua-Kona, this great hotel was built practically right on top of the ocean. Adjacent is a small ash colored beach that is a bit too rocky for general swimming but is a very good snorkeling area with lots of green sea turtles known as "Honu" in Hawaiian. The Keauhou Beach Resort offers Hawaiian cultural programs (free of charge) with hula, lei-making and Hawaii Language classes. Also on the grounds is a replica of the summer house of King Kalakaua and other archeological sites.
Our Agent Phyllis Says ... This is one of the best values in the moderately priced hotels on the Big Island. There is a good snorkling beach next door and the views in the ocean view categories are some of the best for the price. The Keauhou Shopping Center is right down the street for a selection of restaurants ranging from pizza places to Japanese restaurants. A good choice!
