Waikiki Resort Hotel Pictures & Description

Built in 1970, a block away from busy Kalakaua Avenue, the Waikiki Resort Hotel’s grand lobby has stained glass windows, glass paneling, and a marble front desk. A variety of stores occupies the back area. Families, couples, and leisure travelers return to this 19-story hotel for its quiet proximity to ocean activities and its casual, friendly ambiance.On the Diamond Head side of Waikiki, one block from a sandy beach with calm swimming waters, this island-style hotel is four blocks from Kapiolani Park and about four miles from downtown Honolulu.

A 10-minute walk from Waikiki’s shops and restaurants, this 19-floor, 296-room Waikiki hotel offers personalized guest services. Its L-shaped outdoor pool on the second floor (open daylight hours) is surrounded by a large sundeck with a canopy, tables, and lounge chairs. The four-room spa with spa tub offers massage treatments, facials, and waxing.

Computers in the 24-hour business center (hourly fees apply) have high-speed Internet access, and front desk staff assist with faxing, mailing, and copying. Two restaurants, a vitamin store, a jewelry store, a resort gift shop, and a sundry shop are on site.

My husband and I stayed here two years ago. We just loved it. You can't beat the location. It is close to everything, places to eat, transportation, and best of all the beach. We loved it so much we are planning to return in 2010 and this time we are bringing our son and his girlfriend. The staff was friendly and helpful. the rooms were clean. We arrived early and they let us into our room without waiting till check-in. They even upgraded us to a partial ocean view. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a place close to everything at a bargain price.
