In 1996, Roz owned & operated a travel company in Hawaii and John had just started his own business in the web arena, after working as a project manager with NASA and then with Earthtrust, a wildlife conservation organization based in Hawaii. With the perfect blend of travel and technology experience, John and Roz joined forces and created Travel Hawaii.
In the years since, Travel-Hawaii.com has grown from a simple form-based reservation request system (which many of our competitors still are) to a sophisticated online reservation system that books hotels stays, car rentals, air tickets, and activities instantly and on-demand, and allows clients to complete and pay for their reservations online and on the spot. In addition, Travel Hawaii maintains a call center staffed with expert Hawaii-based agents, who are available to assist clients with their bookings.
The most important thing to Travel Hawaii are our customers. We strive to provide the best advice and resources so that our clients can have the very best experiences that Hawaii can provide. We have created and maintain a huge database of information on Hawaii's hotels, airlines, and activities, and present this information in a variety of forms so that it can have maximum value for our clients.
Our advice is not influenced or colored by our suppliers (hotels, airlines, etc), as we do not accept advertising on our web site, nor do we favor particular hotels or other suppliers. We pride ourselves on being objective and independent.
We also strive to provide the very best rates for our clients. To do this, we load our database with rates from a variety of wholesalers plus rates from direct contracts with Hawaii hotel chains, car companies, and activity companies. Our system is programmed to always find the best rates for a set of dates, and present those rates to our clients.

Born and raised in the Hawaiian Islands, Travel Hawaii's Co-owner Roz Rapozo has spent over 25 years in the travel industry in Hawaii. She has also traveled extensively throughout the world gaining a wealth of travel experience she shares with her clients.
Travel Hawaii's web site was created by Co-owner and Computer Scientist John Lindelow, who's been programming and "surfing the Internet" since the early 1980's--long before the advent of the Web. A Hawaii resident for 29 years, he is very familiar with the travel industry in Hawaii, and has a special interest in getting "the best deal" for Travel Hawaii's clients.
