Dear Kalena & Phyllis, We can't thank you enough for your combined effort to make our honeymoon unique & exciting!The time that we spent on your islands will forever be encapsulated in our memories, as well as on film! From my very first snorkeling experience at the Queen's Bath, to flying right up to & nearly kissing the waterfalls during our hour long helicopter tour. From snorkeling w/ 3 giant sea turtles at Ke'e Beach to the incredibly deserted beach "Polihale" at the end of the worlds bumpiest road. On the clearest night we layed on the grass & gazed at the stars while the palm tree glided in the trade winds. You know you're in the right place when the hardest decision is whether to keep the top down on your candy apple red Mustang convertable during the daily intermittent showers. The stunning visit to Pearl Harbor & the V.I.P. treatment in addition to the culinary masterpieces we indulged in at La Mer were merely icing on the cake. Our restaurant's success relies on tourism as does yours. I'm sure the islands have not escaped the wrath of our recent tragedy. Be strong & business will return. My husband and I have never been to Hawaii and we are celebrating our 25th Anniversary, so we were researching and making plans for May. Laura was very pleasant, extremely informative and patient. She did find a place and was holding it over Easter, so I could talk it over with my husband.

Budget was out of compacts so they upgraded us to a new blue Mustang convertible -for the same cost. What a deal! The Kona Reef was wonderful -I suggest you sell it whenever possible. Being farther south from the Kona center of tourism was great. The outside grills at the Kona Reef were fantastic. We cooked fresh Mahi Mahi, swordfish and marlin 3 nights. I would also suggest you recommend the following: Snorkel Bobs -great rentals of snorkel gear including prescription masks. The grocery store on the north side of Palani Drive, just before the highway (can't remember the name) -great fresh seafood. Volcanoes Nat'l Park -a wonderful place to visit! Renting a sea kayak and taking it to Capt. Cook for a journey across the bay -we saw dolphins and whales. The guy just south of disappearing sands beach, east side of the road, rents them for $45/day. He is one laid back dude who didn't want a deposit or payment until we returned. The Hanalei Bay Resort was one of the finest properties that I have been to on any of the islands. We were very impressed with the staff as well as the facility.
