I had stayed there last year and liked it so much that I went back again this year. This year I opted for the 'ocean view' room, last year I had an 'ocean front'. Both rooms were clean and comfortable, though small. The ocean front was the larger of the two. The plumbing was outdated but functional, and the excellent housekeeping service kept everything very clean. The people at the front desk are first rate, kudos to Jara, Krishna, Nick and everyone else for all their help and attention. The only drawback is that the hotel is right now in the middle of a(much needed)major renovation. They are currently working on floors 7-18 and, according to the front desk, expect to be finished completely by Feb. 2013. The work only caused minor disruptions to me; they would work approx. 7:30-4:30 and I was rarely in my room during those times, but it's something to bear in mind if you're planning on booking. Overall I consider the Park Shore a great value, and would go back without hesitation. Eat at Lulu's! Great food, atmosphere, and service at very reasonable prices.

The hotel is old but that did not matter since we were only in the room to sleep. It was great every morning drinking a cup of coffee and sitting on the balcony watching the ocean.

However, it is the best priced beachfront/ocean view accommodations that I could find in Waikiki. The view from our Ocean Front room was spectacular.

Out room was fairly large and we had a great view of both Diamond Head and Waikiki beach from our lanai. The bathroom was outdated and needed some work, but it was clean and functional so it didn't create any problems. I would definately stay here again.
