Superb service, excellent restaurants, top-flight rooms, and excellent views. Not on the beach but overlooks the marina.

On Mar 3, 2011 at 2:18P Cary Lai said Compared to my previous stay around 4 years ago, the room on this visit seemed a bit more "worn" and smelled a bit musty/moldy upon entering. They gave me a new room that was similarly worn and musty, but I stayed in it anyway. The mustiness went away with airing. I think the rooms could just use a bit of paint and re-finishing of the wooden dresser. In general, I like the hotel location, the overall room size, the presence of a small fridge, the nice marina/ocean view (15th floor) and the bathrooms are spacious. But this recent trip simply did not have the "wow factor" of my previous visit. Luckily, I was traveling alone and not with a "significant" other as I imagine that I would have been even more disappointed.
Our Owner Roz Says ... The Hilton Hawaiian Village is one of the top hotels in Waikiki, with phenomenal Marina views. Their staff is among the friendliest and most accommodating in Hawaii. Highly recommended. And don't miss their Seafood Buffett in the Prince Court restaurant on the third floor. The Hotel is right on the harbor but it is a 10 minute walk to the beach.
Our Agent Kelsey Says ... This is one of my favorite hotels on Oahu. It is located right before Waikiki, and close to Ala Moana Shopping center, restaurants, night clubs and the new convention center. All rooms are oceanfront which provide floor to ceiling glass windows. The view of the Pacific Ocean and Marina is just breathtaking. It is for this reason, that I stay at the Hawaii Prince at least 3 times a year with my family.
Our Agent Phyllis Says ... The Prince IS a lovely property located on the edge of Waikiki. It is closer to the Ala Moana area, and is primarily a business traveler destination. The property does offer stunning views. The rooms, however, do not have a balcony. The pool is on the roof and is quite windy and since the property is located on the Marina, it is not close enough to the beach to be considered a family friendly hotel. This is an excellent property for individuals who value a well maintained beautiful property with great views and is not necessessarily here to swim. The restaurants are excellent, especially the buffet!
