Plan on staying with the wife at the Outrigger Reef and I know that a major addition in the form of a huge tower is planned in 2017. Have heard rumors that this will be postponed until eary 2018. Can we please have some clarification on this proposed start date. Thanks.......

On Feb 8, 2011 at 05:58A Scooby Doo said Really glad I found this web site as I've got a room booked at the Hyatt Regency for May. It was booked through an agent and they maintain they didn't know about the works being carried out this year. So well done you, please keep up the good work.

On Nov 21, 2010 at 6:40P Elle said I think this web site is fantastic. I wish I knew about it before planning our vacation. Booked our vacation for November in late August 2010 for the Hyatt on Maui. Did not know about the renovations/construction. It actually DID impact us as guests. We heard many power tools, and the Regency Club was relocated. For 1 solid day, we were subjected to a jack hammer like tool (impact tool) in the room above us. We also lost our room preference (smoking) due to floor by floor renovation. I learned a BIG lesson on this vacation. Wish I knew about this site before.

On Apr 12, 2010 at 5:15P John Lindelow said Too bad you didn't book with Travel-Hawaii.com! Our construction alert for the Mauna Lani Point said the following, and every client has to affirm that they've read and understand it before they can complete a booking on our web site: "The Mauna Lani Point will be doing enhancements that will affect the pool pavilion area from March 17 - July 30, 2010. The project will include expanding the existing pavilion area and remodeling of the outdoor kitchen area. The mens and womens bathrooms will also be renovated in an updated, contemporary style. During the enhancement period, Mauna Lani Point guests will have full access to the swimming pool, whirpool spa and barbecues."

On Apr 12, 2010 at 1:53P Rosemarie Schaich said When we booked our reservations for the Mauna Lani Point on January 24, 2010 on the Big Island for our April vacation, no one mentioned the renovations that are taking place affecting the pool, outdoor BBQ area, mens and women's rooms. Had they told us at the time of booking we would have chosen another resort.
